Job Title: Hydraulic Repair Shop Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Hydraulic Technician Lead. As the Lead of our hydraulic repair shop, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shop's operations, including repairs, maintenance, quality control, and team management. Your expertise in hydraulic systems, strong leadership abilities, and exceptional organizational skills will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the shop.
Responsibilities:
Shop Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the hydraulic repair shop, ensuring all repair and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and high-quality repair services.
Monitor workflow and make necessary adjustments to maximize productivity and minimize turnaround time.
Maintain inventory of hydraulic components, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring adequate stock levels to support repair operations.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source necessary parts and materials at competitive prices.
Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor a team of hydraulic technicians and repair specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and performance improvement.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of the team.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Quality Control and Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure all repaired hydraulic systems meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive testing and inspection procedures to identify and resolve issues or potential problems.
Conduct thorough inspections of completed repairs to verify quality and accuracy of work performed.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to hydraulic systems and repairs.
Customer Service: Collaborate with the customer service team to understand customer needs and requirements, ensuring effective communication throughout the repair process.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to provide exceptional service and maintain strong customer relationships.
Identify opportunities for service improvements and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Stay informed about industry safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Conduct regular safety training sessions and maintain proper documentation of safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in hydraulic systems repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic components, systems, and equipment.
- Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in a repair shop environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using computer software and diagnostic tools relevant to hydraulic repairs.
